Rhodri Morgan – New Legislative Programme for WAG for 2008 - 2009

Rhodri Morgan announced on the 15 July 2008, WAG’s new legislative programme for 2008 – 2009. This includes proposals for five Measures in the field of:-

• Child Poverty
• Special Educational Needs
• Care Services provided by local authorities
• Community Planning by local authorities
• Affordable Housing

The Minister also indicated the intention for LCO’s to be sought in the fields of:-

• Carers Support
• The promotion of culture by local authorities
• To enable further education institutions to award foundation degrees
• To secure powers in agriculture over the "red meat industry"
