Consultation on access to inland water in Wales

On 24th June 2009, the Assembly's Sustainability Committee agreed to carry out an inquiry into access to inland water in Wales. On 15th July, the inquiry’s terms of reference were agreed as "to examine the current position for access to inland water in Wales and to make recommendations".
The Committee now intends to gather evidence which in order to scrutinise and make recommendations to the Welsh Assembly Government on the issue of access to inland water. The Committee intends to gather written evidence as well as oral evidence which will be given at public hearings to be held between September and December this year.
The Committee is keen to hear from any interested parties and the deadline for written submissions is Friday, 18th September 2009.
