Consultation – new Assembly powers on access to the arts, culture, sports an recreation

The Assembly’s Legislation Committee No.4 is inviting views from members of the public and interested parties, as part of its consultation on a new Legislative Competence (Culture and Other Fields) Order.
The Order, if made, would allow the Assembly to impose duties on local authorities to increase access to the arts, culture, sport and recreation in Wales. The Order was tabled by the Welsh Assembly Government as a move towards increasing participation amongst people in Wale, in the arts, culture, sport and recreation, regardless of their income, background or where they live.
